Like many I do not add any salt. I used the large can of Cream of Chicken soup. This always comes out so good and so easy to make. This takes 1 hour and 5 min. in my oven

I usually don’t add salt as it can be too salty using the chicken granules or bullion cubes.

Hello Claire, Bisquick is basically only premade biscuit dough mix. Just roll out some biscuit dough and cut it up and add it in place of the bisquick in this recipe for chicken and dumplings casserole. We have biscuit recipes on our blog for your convenience.

Hi Lynn, If I am not wrong it takes the standard size.

Thanks.

I do not have chicken granules right now so I will leave that out but from others description I might not need it anyway since it will be pretty rich and salty tasting. Keep my fingers crossed that I love it!

I actually doubled the recipe so that I could make a dish to take to my Mom. Reading the comment about the salt, I did not add any salt at all to the recipe and only added 2 teaspoons (4 for doubling) of the Chicken Granulers to it – I know how salty the granulers are from previous experience. I also bought chicken breast and boiled them – then used the broth from the boiled chicken instead of using canned broth. This was much more richer than canned broth. We all were so pleased with the outcome and was talking about next time we will add a 16 oz bag of frozen veggies (corn, green beans, carrots, lima beans) to turn this into a Chicken Pot Pie. The only thing I can add to this is that it took more than 30-45 mins to cook as the recipe states – it actually took about 70-80 mins. Thanks for sharing this delicious recipe!

But, didn’t add the 1/2tsp salt, and could have used less bouillon, as it was still salty. Took about an hour in my oven.

I’m making it for the 3rd time as the first two times it turned out perfect….not sure what you did wrong or I did right?

I followed it exactly and it was too salty and too runny and the biscuit mix not fully cooked- too doughy. Waste of time and money. And still hungry. 🙁
