Super friendly great with kids! They are VERY broody! We live in NE Montana where winter is COLD their fluffy feet have never gotten frost bitten. Because of our weather we look for the less ornamental of the breed because ones like the rooster above with elaborate combs are susceptible to frostbite. Our favorites are buffs & blues but we also have blacks. Cochins also come in Banty size and we got a few this year so we will see how they do. We actually get 4-5 eggs a week out of ours.
