I have one receipt that works for most cream pies with just a few tweeks for each one And still make my own meringue. And everyone loves them. NO SALT!!!!!!

I love this pie recipe and will make it again. Thanks so much for sharing. The reason I changed the sugar and salt amounts was based on the comments from others and my prior experience with cream pies. I love your website and make an awful lot of your wonderful recipes. We are watching our calories, so if I make it again, I will cut the salt in half and add some Splenda to it. We took a packet of Splenda and sprinkled it on the pie and stirred it in and it definitely helped a lot.

It was still not very sweet. If I make it again, I will use about 1/2 the salt, and probably 1/2 cup sugar. Even my husband, who does not like his pies very sweet, added a heaping helping of powdered sugar to his serving. That helped.
