Yes, you can but the flavor may not be a s strong. You can also add an unsweetened kool-aid packet for color. It is really a good cake. Be sure to read the other comments for som other ideas! Thanks.

I had a white cake mix on hand so I used it instead but for my taste it was just fine, still very Orangey. The recipe calls for a 10 oz can of Orange Crush but is cancer no 12 oz I put the whole thing in plus 3 tablespoons of flour because I live in a high altitude so I do that with my cakes anyhow (add extra liquid and flour). I used to refrigerated orange juice to make the glaze and it was awesome. Everyone in my house love this cake. It was very moist and very light. The last cake I made that I added pudding mix was far denser.
5 STAR recipe. Simple and delicious.
