She added carrots to hers for us and if serving company – she also added potatoes and celery and onion. This was nothing at all like what people here in the South call potpie made inside a crust and hers tastes much better. Once in a great while – we also got rivlets (leftover dough mixed with egg and rolled tightly) as a treat served among the sloppy potpie. Delicious. My home was not far from Reading, PA, so I guess I share a little something with Daniel Boone – Frontiersman of the South.
