Chicken owners in Huntsville Alabama are rolling up their sleeves to get new regulations passed in the City of Huntsville to make it easier on Chicken Owners to have Chicken Coops
A group known as The Huntsville Hen Alliance claims to have collected more than 250 signatures from Chicken minded people in the City who want to raise chickens in their Backyards! According to the City Chicken Coops have been allowed in the City since the 1970’s.
The ordinance says the Chicken Coops have to be set back 150 feet from the nearest house preventing residents from raising Chickens in Subdivisions!
The Huntsville Hen Alliance is requesting the City to change the law to 30-50 feet. Still up for debate! Will the hens get their way or will the next News Scoop be against the Coop?
