In the past when a new home buyer went looking for a home is the suburbs or city they would include things like Stainless Appliances, 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Porch, Covered Deck, Patio, Large backyard, single story, two story, Etc.
If you go to Seattle and ask some of the Realtor’s there what is one of the leading request for a new home owner you may be surprised! Seems that Seattle is one of the Cities leading the country in Chicken Coops. According to a study they came in number 5 and Portland came in first!
Seattle is a bustling City and it residents are no different than any other City with the exception them seem to want more hens and eggs that most. If you move to Seattle and start looking for a new home don’t be surprised if your Realtor ask you if one of your wants is a Chicken Coop.
People really are starting to care more about what goes into that chicken before it lays the egg! Seattle allows 8 chickens per family dwelling and some of those Chicken Coops look as good as the Homes they are behind or beside! Folks take a lot of pride in their Chicken Coops!
