I know in my life there is lots of work to be done to achieve this goal of a more Godly Character. I sure have a lot of flaws to work with here
Creating a Godly Character and Spirit
As I post on my Blog each day I work hard to taylor and chisel it to appeal to the Google Search Engines and to be pleasing and acceptable to you the reader. I try to give it character. Since you are the final say if my Blog is successful or not I have to try to write and be honest and keep you in the know as to what is going on and how I can be a benefit to you. We have to earn a trust! I work hard to do that and hope that many or most of you feel that way about us here at Back Roads Living.
Well even as I work on the blog and shape it and taylor it and search for the best keywords and spend lots of time thinking on how to give it more character and make it a better place for you to visit, I can’t help but wonder on how much I am applying this to my personal life. If I spent as much time working and trying to develop a more Godly Character my life could not help but be much better and blessed.
Just a thought, if each of us worked as hard to shape our Godly Character and make our personal relationships with God, family, friends or those people who mean the most to us as we do at our jobs or recreation, how much better would and could our lives be? I know in my own life there is much room for improvement in this area and I am going to try to do much better from today forward!
As I read the Book of James I think about all the scripture that James is writing as he is giving admonishment to the church to help shape their Godly Character. You see, he didn’t have this scripture to read to them like we do. He was helping create and shape the New Testament without even realizing it. These writings are so powerful and he gets all of his understanding and insight from Almighty God, the Old Testament and God’s Holy Spirit.
He is teaching us to hone or shape the Godly Character of our lives to become better servants for God,
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
If we just take the time to try to study, this is the key word here, “study” to show ourselves approved before God and our fellow man. We will be much more successful and our influence will always exalt Jesus as Lord and Savior! This is the ultimate goal to keep Jesus in the light and follow his lead! Many churches and many denominations have many different philosophies about many things in the church but most lead back to one main goal! Ye must be born again! Jesus is what we all have in common!
These are two of my most favorite scriptures in the whole Bible,
John 3:
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
I am so glad that God loved me so much that he would do this for me and not condemn me! That he would give each and every one of us the same opportunity to be saved regardless of where we are from or what we have done!
My hope is that maybe something I have written may inspire you to become a better person, husband, wife, friend, etc. My prayer for you today is, may you be blessed in all your work and may Jesus be your guide!
May we all have a Godly Character!
~Blessings~
