DIY Dish Washing Powder
Here at Back Roads Living we believe in saving money. This DIY Dish Washing Powder is a great way to do this. When mixing your own you are saving, savin, saving!
As times get harder and it becomes more and more difficult to save money we have to create ways to save money! We hope this idea along with the other ideas we have in our Tips & Tricks menu will help y’all save a little green! 🙂

Ingredients for: DIY Dish Washing Powder.
- 2 cups borax
- 2 cups Arm N Hammer Washing soda
- 4 packets of unsweetened lemon Kool-Aid OR use 1/2 cup citric acid (This gives it fresh scent. Use your favorite!)
This will make so much dish washing detergent that the money saved will be a lot! Just some more Money Saving Tips!
Directions for: DIY Dish Washing Powder
- Mix ingredients well and store in container with lid to prevent spillage.
- Use 2 Tbsp per load in the Dishwasher. Just some more Money saving Tips!
You can pic up the Kool-Aid on sale sometimes for 5 packs for a $1.00..
This will save you bunches on money on Dish Washing detergent!
Once a month we use a cup of White Vinegar in our wash to help keep the Dishwasher clean.
