Antique Log Cabins 1800’s

These photos are of an Antique Log Cabin on the road where I live and the cabin has been in my wife’s family since the 1860’s. I can just imagine all the life that was lived inside and around this old cabin! Times were harder but much purer in those days. Back then a handshake was a mans word and his honor depended on his word! Check out all 10 photos below.

The old screen door that was on the back side of the home. Like many homes of the era there was no central air of any kind other than the hand fans and gentle breeze blowing through. The screen doors allowed for ventilation and kept the unwanted animals and insects out!
