Log cabin on Bear Creek, Elwyn Gibbon (b.1911 d.1942) was an American pilot who served as a pilot in the Chinese Air Force in the Foreign Volunteer Squadron. Later he served as a Vultee Aircraft Company test pilot in Karachi, India, where he died in a plane crash in 1942.
