Civil War Era Gallery

This is a Civil War Gallery that shows the hardships of the Civil War and of corse any other war.  War always takes a toll on a country and the people who fight for it.

This era was a very hard time as men had to weather the elements in a much more primitive way than we do now. The shelter, food and many other accommodations were missing from modern day warfare.

We hope you enjoy our gallery and if you do we ask that you share it with your friends by sharing by clicking the appropriate Social Media button above.

We broke them into our coffee to scaled them and dipped them out with a spoon as they came squirming to the top." ~ Perry Mayo, Union soldier, describing his Thanksgiving dinner, December 1, 1862”
