This is the prayer Paul said for the Church at Ephesus in his letter to them. This is found in the first chapter of Ephesians and begins at verse 17. This is another very powerful prayer for the believer to say to our Heavenly Father as we go about our daily task. To enlighten the eyes of our hearts with understanding!

I have made it a personal prayer for myself to enlighten my life. I hope you can use it to enlighten and strengthen your walk with Him also.

You are the God of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, I pray that you grant me a spirit of wisdom and revelation, insight into mysteries and secrets in the deep and intimate knowledge of Yourself,

I pray that you would flood the eyes of my heart with light, so that I can know and understand the hope to which you have called me and how rich Your glorious inheritance is in the saints, the ones set apart to receive this inheritance.

I pray you will reveal to me the understanding of the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of Your power in and for me because I believe, as was demonstrated in the working of Your mighty strength according to the power of the resurrected saviour!

This power You exalted in our Lord when You raised Him from the dead and seated Him on Your right hand in the heavenly places,

Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, above every title that can be imagined, not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world to come.

You have put all things under His feet and appointed Him to be the universal and supreme Head of the church everywhere,

Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all with the fullness of Himself. May you enlighten the eyes of my heart to receive these truths even as they are written.

In the name of my Resurrected Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen.

I hope you enjoy this prayer and can use it daily.
