Good Morning Happiness Comes from within!
Morning happiness is just a common thing around here. This morning as I set here thinking about all the things that have happened in the last two years I fell a great weight of stress and anxiety start to well up in me again! All of a sudden as I am surfing some of the topics and Blogs that I enjoy following on a daily basis I see another wonderful post!
It seems like every time we get to the end of our rope there is always a necessity met that we just thought couldn’t be! I think sometimes we get so wrapped up in the negative that we just can’t see the light anymore! We become encompassed with the worry and stress of life and forget that it is not supposed to be this way. Jesus said “I came to give life and to give it more abundantly” Well, boy do I miss the boat sometimes. Worrying about the future in a capacity that you can not change does nothing but add more stress and anxiety! “There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way” Mother Teresa.
You will not find happiness out there in a relationship, by loosing weight, making the grade, finding Mr or Ms right, etc. Happiness is a way of life and is not dependent on others to keep it going. It comes from within you and only you can maintain it! It is a state of being and all these other things are a result of your happiness. You have to be a friend to yourself before you can be a good friend to others. Look within and find peace. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”.
Psalms 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
I think we tend to forget where our peace really comes from sometimes. Oh well, we are all human and we all have our problems and troubles in this walk of life. I just hope we can remember where our true happiness come from! You have to look within and not without! John 14:6 ” Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
So I guess if we look to the outward things that the world has to offer for our peace and happiness we will in the end be disappointed. I have yet to find anything or anyone who has never disappointed me including myself! The only time I have ever found real peace and contentment was in following the teachings of Jesus!
So in the end I guess we need to go back to the beginning.Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”
Makes it so much simpler doesn’t it. If we follow our creator how can we go wrong?
