Directions for: Peanut Butter Squares

Preheat the oven to 375F degrees and spray a 9-inch square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
To make the crust: Put the wafers in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin or heavy glass. You can also combine the chocolate wafers, sugar and butter in the bowl of a food processor fitted with blade attachment and pulse until cookies are finely crushed.
Press mixture firmly into prepared baking pan (I spread it with my hands first, then use the bottom of a flat bottom glass to even it out). Bake for 8 minutes.
Set on rack to cool completely.

While the crust is baking make your peanut butter filling: Directions above!
Make the chocolate ganache topping: Combine milk chocolate chips and heavy cream in microwave safe bowl and cook in microwave at medium power (50%) for 1-1 ½ minutes. Stir until bowl no longer feels warm. Continue heating at 15-30 second intervals, stirring until smooth and melted. Do not overheat.

Put it all together: Let the topping cool just a little. It still needs to pour. Pour this on your fudge and level out with an offset spatula or butter knife. Set in refrigerator for a couple of hours to harden or if in a hurry in the freezer for an hour.

Cut into squares and serve!

Thank you for stopping by Back Roads Living again.
