
This Chocolate Cheesecake Bars Recipe is a wonderful dessert. If you are like us here at Back Roads Living and love chocolate, this is a must for your recipe box! The recipe is printable and it is a very easy dessert to make!
We love all things chocolate and cream cheese is a favorite also! As you can see from browsing through our Recipe selection, we like Chocolate and Cream Cheese! We use them both a lot! 🙂
Ingredients for: Chocolate Cheesecake Bars
- Crust for: Chocolate Cheesecake Bars
- 1 Oreo pie crust
- 6 tbsp butter (melted)
- 1/3 cup finely chopped almonds (optional)
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chopped chocolate chips
- Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Directions for Crust
- Mix the ingredients above and press into the bottom of a 11″ x 7″ Cake Pan!
- Refrigerate until ready to use!
- Filling for: Chocolate Cheesecake Bars
- 1 1/2 cups cream cheese at room temperature (1 1/2 bars)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Directions for filling
- Melt the white chocolate in a bowl over boiling water. Do not let the bowl sit in the water! Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and let stand for around 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl mix cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time and mix until incorporated well.
- Add white chocolate with the mixer running and mix well (after scraping the sides of the bowl).
- Remove crust and pour the filling into it and place in a pre heated oven at 350 degrees.
- Bake for approx 40 minutes
- Remove and let completely cool
- Add the topping. (let set few minutes to cool if you use the homemade topping, cut and enjoy)!
Topping for: Chocolate Cheesecake Bars
- We used a tub of Chocolate cake frosting on this one
