Rose 3

Here it is almost summer again. This bunch here at Back Roads Living has come through a winter that I thought would never end. Just a few nights ago we had to cover our garden vegetables to protect them from frost. I thought we were through with that kind of weather but who knows?

There are parts of Kentucky under a scattered frost warning tonight! Our temperature is only supposed to get down to 40. I sure hope these weather men and women know what they are talking about! Our little garden he at Back Roads Living is coming along pretty good and so far we have been able to keep the critters out of it!

We have about 10 tomato plans, 8 zucchini and squash. 7 Cucumbers, one of them died and 4 bell peppers.

Our make do fence has provided protection so far. Hopefully it will deter the deer and we can have some tomatoes this year. Last year we didn’t set out a garden because the year before the deer ate everything. They don’t fear us as much as they used to!

Our Blackberry bush behind the house reminds us why we are having this cold snap! I think it may be Blackberry winter. It is coming into full bloom. I will be be having some Blackberries this year! The good thing is I don’t have to walk far to get them! 🙂

Our Roses are blooming and they are so pretty it makes one glad to be able to live like we do here at Back Roads Living.

Well, I guess I will end for now. We appreciate all of you who read and follow our post here at Back Roads Living! We have been getting our recipes back on that were deleted.

If you run across a recipe that is not available or you can’t find it anymore let us know. We will be glad to try and find it for you.

Thanks for stopping by and ~Blessings~ to you and yours!
