This Chocolate Chip Cake is a delicious dessert! loaded with luscious Chocolate Chips baked into homemade cake and served with your favorite Ice Cream! I love things like this incorporates into cakes and baked! Go ahead and mix up a bowl and treat yourself for being good! Or for that matter treat yourself for whatever the occasion! Don’t forget the Ice Cream and Milk!
Ingredients for: Chocolate Chip Cake Recipe
- 2 – Sticks butter (@ at room temperature)
- 1 – Cup sugar
- 1 – Teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 – Medium to large eggs (@ room temperature)
- 2 – Cups all purpose flour
- 1 – Teaspoon baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 7 0z Chocolate Chips
Directions for: Chocolate Chip Cake Recipe
- Preheat oven to 350ºF
- Grease a 9 1/2 inch spring pan.
- Add butter and sugar together and beat until very fluffy and white, approx 4 minutes.
- Add eggs and mix in slowly, one egg at a time, beating after each addition.
- Add vanilla extract mix thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl sift together flour, salt and baking powder mix well.
- Add this flour mixture slowly to the egg mixture. (Not all at once))
- Don’t over mix this.
- Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula or kitchen utensil of your choice. We prefer a spatula.
- Leave a handful of Chocolate Chips for top decoration.
- Pour your mix of batter in the pre-greased pan and level the top.
- Sprinkle the handful of the remaining chocolate chips on top of the cake.
- Bake approx 35 min or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Note: Check at 30 min as all ovens are not alike and bake differently.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
