Chocolate Chess Cake is a great way to start off a beginner. This is an easy cake to put together and a very easy cake to bake. If you like chocolate as I do you will love this Chocolate Chess Cake. This cake requires a little more than just mixing a box of cake mix so the beginner can get a little satisfaction from making a cake from scratch almost. Next time you can mix your chocolate cake from scratch!
Ingredients for: Chocolate Chess Cake Recipe
Crust:
- 1 Box Chocolate or Devils Food Cake Mix
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 1 Stick of melted butter
Directions for: Chocolate Chess Cake Recipe Crust
- Mix all three ingredients by hand until well blended. (This will be sticky)
- Place in greased 9 x 13 cake pan and spread evenly on bottom and up sides.(Don’t make the sides to greasy or the mix will not stay up)
Ingredients for Filling: Chocolate Chess Cake Recipe
- 1 lb of powdered sugar
- 1 8oz box of cream cheese (Room temperature)
- 2 Eggs beaten
- 1 Hersheys chocolate bar cooled and broken into small chips. (Can use regular semi-sweet chocolate chips also)
Directions for: Chocolate Chess Cake Recipe Filling
- Mix all ingredients except Hershey bar in a large bowl for 5 minutes
- Add Hershey bar chips and gently mix until chips are distributed well (Can use regular semi-sweet chocolate chips also)
- Pour into prepared crust and spread out evenly
- Bake in Pre-Heated 350° oven for 30 – 40 minutes!
- Let cool and serve.
