When it comes to cake, one of my favorite of all time is the chocolate wet cake. I am a chocolate fan!
Dark chocolate, light chocolate, white chocolate, etc! I just love chocolate. When I came across this recipe I knew I would need to share it. this is one I am going t try!

1 Stick Margarine (We love Butter)
4 Tsp Cocoa
1/2 Cup Crisco
1 Cup Cold Water
2 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Flour
1 Tsp Soda
1 Tsp Vanilla
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
1 Tsp Cinnamon
2 Eggs (We like farm fresh but store bought will do)
Boil first 4 ingredients for 5 minutes
Combine first 4 ingredients
1 Stick Margarine (We like Butter)
4 Tsp Cocoa
1/2 Cup Crisco
1 Cup Cold Water
Boil for 5 minutes
Next, Combine
2 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Flour
Mix thoroughly and add to first ingredients
Add to mix
1 Tsp Soda
1 Tsp Vanilla
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
1 Tsp Cinnamon
2 Eggs (We love farm fresh eggs that my mother in law supplies but store bought will work)
Pour mix into greased 9 x 13 cake pan
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Keep a check some ovens bake quicker than others. Insert a toothpick into center of the cake to test doneness. If toothpick comes out clean cake is done.
Now you know we have to make our own icing for this cake! After making it from scratch, we just have to do the icing from scratch!
1 Stick Butter
3 Tbs Milk
2 Tbsp Cocoa
1./2 Tsp Vanilla
1 Box or bag of Confectioners Sugar
Directions for Icing for Chocolate Wet Cake
Add
1 Stick Butter
3 Tbs Milk
2 Tbsp Cocoa
1./2 Tsp Vanilla
Boil for 5 minutes
Add at least 1/2 of the confectioners sugar and stir. Add until icing is texture you desire for spreading.
Ice cake while warm for best results.
