Fried Onion Rings

I am an an onion eating maniac when they are fries, sauteed, baked, etc. I am not a big fan of them raw but man I love em heated up! this is a bunch mixed with fries. It just has to be good! Oven Fries and  Fried Onion Rings are going to be on my table soon!

Fried Onion Rings

  • Ingredients for: Fried Onion Rings
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup of seasoned dried bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup fat free egg substitute
  • 2 large onions sliced about 1/4″ thick and divide into double rings.

Directions for: Fried Onion Rings

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400*
  2. Spray a non-stick pan with spray
  3. Mix the flour and salt on a sheet of wax paper
  4. Put the bread crumbs on another sheet of wax paper
  5. Put the egg substitute in another dish
  6. Coat each double onion ring on both sides with the flour mixture, shaking off excess; dip into egg substitute then into the crumbs.
  7. Place on baking sheet and spray with non-stick spray.
  8. Bake until browned on the bottom (Approx 10 minutes)
  9. Turn and bake until browned (Approx 5 minutes)

Dish up and eat em while they are hot! Ketchup is welcome!
