Sauteed Broccoli Rabe Recipe

Ingredients for: Sauteed Broccoli Rabe Recipe

  • 1lb broccoli rabe, tough stems removed (Also know as turnip Broccoli) Regular Broccoli will work but isn’t the same taste or texture!
  • 1 tbs oil, preferably olive
  • 1 clove garlic,
  • 2 medium portobello mushrooms halved crosswise and thinly sliced, about 2 cups
  • 1 tbs grated lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions for: Sauteed Broccoli Rabe Recipe

  1. Over high heat bring large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add broccoli rabe; cook for 2 minutes then drain.
  3. In large skillet heat oil over medium -high heat.
  4. Add garlic; cook stirring constantly, until just starting to brown, 30-45 seconds.
  5. Stir in broccoli rabe, lemon zest, salt and pepper; cook until heated through, approx 2 minutes.
  6. Serve warm.

Makes approx 6 servings
