Ingredients for: Chocolate Chip Brownie Bars

Brownie Mix

1¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups white sugar

Wet ingredients for Brownie Mix

1 cup melted butter or margarine
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Ingredients for: Chocolate Chip Brownie Bars

Chocolate Chip Cookies Mix

3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup softened margarine or butter (One baker prefers margarine to butter for this recipe. They said it seems to make the consistency better somehow.) We use butter.
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
12 oz chocolate chips

Directions for Chocolate Chip Brownie Bars

Grease a 9 ×13 pan.
For Brownies, mix all dry ingredients well then add wet ingredients and mix well.
Spread Brownie batter evenly over bottom of pan.
For Chocolate Chips mix all dry ingredients well then mix wet ingredients until well mixed.
Drop Spoonfulls of Chip mx over Brownie mix and bake at 325 for approx 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted approx 2 inches from side of pan.
