Buttermilk Biscuits

Buttermilk Biscuits are a part of one of my favorite all time breakfast meals! As a child I have got out of bed to a table set with Homemade Gravy and Homemade Biscuits! For years we had a homemade breakfast before school or our going out in the summer to play or work in the garden. those days bring back many fond memories! One of them is the taste of those fresh Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits!

Depending on your size of cutter, you get about Ten 2-3/4-inch biscuits or eighteen 2-inch biscuits

Ingredients for: Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits

  • 8 ounces unbleached all-purpose flour, (More as needed for shaping the dough (1-3/4 cups)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 ounces very cold unsalted butter (8 tablespoon)
  • 3/4 cup very cold buttermilk
