Have you tried Oreo ice Cream? If not, you have missed a wonderful treat!
Oreo’s have been a favorite of mine for many, many years. As a matter of fact, I have loved them as far back as I can remember and I am 59 years old at the time of this post.
I could eat them by the hand full with cold milk! They just don’t have a long life expectancy at my place! 😉
We have made Oreo Cupcakes which I love dearly! Oh, how good to bite into a cupcake full of oreos!
We have made, Oreo Pudding Poke Cake! I could hardly keep from eating it all at one setting!
We have also made an Oreo Pie! You just can’t be still when eating it, this is so good!
You can find the links to all these fabulous desserts at the bottom of this article plus many more.
One of our last ventures, we fixed a Oreo Pudding Dessert! This and all the other oreo desserts are so easy to make. None of these are difficult and do not take a long time to prepare of make.
We actually ate up all the Oreo Pudding Dessert in just a couple of days! It was fabulous! I am suspecting this ice cream will be the same way, fabulous!
I ate the spare Oreos with chocolate milk as I made the ice cream. This is expected, right? I mean, what else would I do with them, save them for later? Hahahahahaha, that is so funny!! Not!
This is one of the easiest recipes I have made. Like many other no bake recipes, this only takes minutes to make. The preparation takes a few minutes and the freezing but the actual time making it is minimal compared to baking recipes.
It is sooooo, easy!
The ingredients in this recipe are some of the tastiest you can use including,
Sweetened Condensed Milk
This needs to stay in the freezer overnight so if you intend to serve it at an event or gathering, you will need to prepare at least one day ahead!
I also put my loaf pan in the freezer with the others bowl and mixer beaters and left it there until I was ready to put the finished ice cream mix into it.
I really like the style of this Ice Cream Tub.
You can freeze this for several days but I really don’t think it will last that long! 🙂
One of my other all time favorites is chocolate anything but there are times I just crave Oreos and nothing satisfies your craving for Oreos like these delicious desserts. I am anticipating this Oreo Ice Cream will have the same results!
So, let’s quit gawking and get right down to the bones of the matter. Let’s get to making some ice cream!
2 cups heavy whipped cream
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups chopped oreos
Prior to beginning place your mixing bowl and mixer beaters in the freezer for 20-30 minutes so they will be chilled.
After the 30 minutes are up, remove the bowl from the freezer.
Add the heavy cream to the chilled bowl, using an electric mixer beat the heavy cream into stiff peaks. This should only take around 3 minutes.
Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and mix blend in with a spatula or mixer.
Add in the 2 cups of chopped oreos, blend in well to combine.
Pour the ice cream into a freezer safe container. ( Did you have one or are you getting the one above?)
Top the ice cream with additional broken oreo pieces.
Remove from freezer, scoop and serve!
(See, I told you making this this was going to be easy)
After allowing this delicious treat to set in the freezer all night we took it out the next day and gave it the royal taste test!
This Oreo Ice Cream is to me, delicious. My wife also really liked it which is always a wonderful thing because she has a very picky taste for most anything she eats.
This ice cream has a little it more flavor than most store bought ice creams as the taste is bolder and richer. I for one love the richer taste!
When it comes to sweets, I love richer flavor such as with chocolate and other desserts so this Oreo Ice Cream is a successful project in our opinion!
