Oh boy, this Oreo Pudding Dessert is one more delicious treat!
Last week as I was setting at my computer my wife ask me to look at a video of a Oreo Pudding Dessert she had found on Facebook.
Well, since I have always been a very fond supporter of and lover of oreo’s I could not help myself. I just had to hop on over and take a look at the video.
When I watched it I was a little bit disappointed as I thought it would be made from the traditional Chocolate Oreos I had come to love over the years.
This new Oreo Pudding Dessert was made from the Golden Oreos! I had never even tasted a Golden Oreo! What was I to think?
So, after viewing the video and seeing the other ingredients involved in this delicious dessert, I had to give it a try!
It almost felt as if I were forsaking my love for Chocolate Oreos or something. It was a very strange feeling to buy this new kind of Oreos! I had always been loyal to the chocolate ones!
So, here we go, this new dessert had cool whip in it! My second favorite thing in desserts!
It also called for cream cheese! My third favorite thing in a dessert!
Last but certainly not the least, it called for Banana Pudding! This is one of my all time favorite desserts!
How could I not try this dessert and it full of everything I love?
Needless to say, off we go to the grocery and pick up all these delicious delicacies and head home in a hurry to get started on this thing as soon as possible! The anticipation was very high!
The expectations were over the top and I am glad to say this Oreo Dessert Pudding met them without fail.
Things you will need:
9” x 9” Baking Dish or pan
The following you will need to pick up on your next trip to the grocery if you don’t already have them in store:
25 Golden Oreos (Crushed) My bag had 36 in it. This leaves plenty to crush for the topping and to snack on while making this wonderful dessert. 🙂
6 tablespoons butter (Melted)
8 ounces cream cheese (Room Temp)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
8 ounces whipped topping (divided)
1 box (3.4 oz instant banana cream pudding mix)
1 cup milk
Mix the crushed Golden Oreos and melted butter. Press mix into the bottom of an 8x8” or 9x9” square pan. Chill 10 minutes. (We used a 9” X 9” pan. If using a 8” X 8”, the filling and crust will be a little thicker.)
Beat cream cheese and sugar in your large bowl until smooth. Stir in 1 cup of the whipped topping you divided until combined, then spread over crust in the pan.
Add the pudding mix to a large bowl (you can use the same one you used for the cream cheese mix). Whisk in milk until pudding thickens. Let set for 5 minutes or until thickened. Once it has set, spread it over the cream cheese layer.
Top with remaining whipped topping and some additional crushed Oreos for decoration. (If you haven’t eaten all the extras by now)
Chill at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.
I fudged a little and cut mine after one hour. It was not set as much as it probably should have been but it was still as delicious!
After it set overnight it looked like, and the texture was as it was supposed to be. we had it for dessert the next day also and I am not sure but I think it may be like vegetable soup, gets better the longer it stays in the refrigerator! 😉 Actually, I ate another piece this evening just prior to writing this post!
Something had to give me inspiration to write about it! Nothing will give you more inspiration to write a post about a subject than the product itself!
This Oreo Pudding Dessert will absolutely melt in your mouth! This is one of the best desserts I have made in some time.
I will no doubt be experimenting with the chocolate oreos with this dessert in the near future!

My take on this dessert is that is like most other pudding desserts, easy to make. This makes it one of our top picks for our recipe box.
This is a dessert that goes together pretty quick and this is also another reason it gets top picks from us.
Now, as is with just about every pudding dessert you make, it takes time for it to set or gel. Some will take longer than others but they all take some time. None of these are hardly ever fix and eat items.
The next reason this Golden Oreo Pudding Dessert gets a place in our recipe box, and probably one of the best reasons is, the taste and texture of this dessert! It is fabulous, yes, fabulous!
Our next foray is Oreo Ice Cream and I can hardly wait. Watch for the post and let us know how you liked this Golden Oreo Pudding Dessert!
